What Are CEREC® Same-Day Crowns?

CEREC® stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. It’s a modern system that uses digital scanning and CAD/CAM technology (computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing) to create custom crowns right here in our Green Hills office.

Traditional crowns require messy impressions, temporary crowns, and multiple appointments. CEREC® crowns are different.

Using precise 3D imaging and in-office milling technology, we craft a strong, natural-looking ceramic crown while you wait. The result is a durable, tooth-colored restoration completed in just one visit — designed to restore both the function and beauty of your smile with exceptional precision.

Your Same-Day Crown in Four Simple Steps

Step 1

Imaging

We use advanced digital scanning technology to capture highly detailed images of your tooth. No messy impression trays — just fast, comfortable, and precise imaging.

Step 2

3D Modeling

Using dental CAD/CAM software, we create a custom 3D model of your restoration. This allows us to design a crown that fits your bite and blends naturally with your surrounding teeth.

Step 3

Fabrication

Your custom crown is milled in our office from a high-quality ceramic block that matches your tooth shade. The fabrication process typically takes about 10–20 minutes.

Step 4

Placement

Once complete, we check the fit and bite, polish the crown, and securely bond it in place. You leave the same day with a fully restored, natural-looking smile — no temporary crown required.
